Terrestrial Species - When housing a terrestrial species in a dram vial, the leg span should not be greater than the diameter of the vial. Even the largest (50 Dram) should not be used with terrestrial spiderlings over 1".

Arboreal/Fossorial Species - When housing an arboreal/fossorial species in a dram vial, the leg span should not be greater than half the available height within the vial. A 50 dram can typically be used to house these types of tarantulas with up to a 2" leg span.
