Diet: Appropriately sized frozen-thawed or live mice
Housing: Terrestrial enclosure with aspen bedding is most commonly used, offer hides, water dish, and rock to help shedding, adults will benefit from enclosures as large as 40 gal
Temperament: Great beginner snake species, mild tempered, curious, can cohabitate, not a picky eater
Heat: A temp gradient of 70-90 F can be achieved with basking lamps during the day and heat mats/ceramic heat emitters
Lighting: UVB will be beneficial to the health and vitality of these snakes
