This massive-growing deep blue tarantula is found in the jungles of Singapore and Malaysia where it lives amongst the trees. It has a slender build with long legs. Like other Asian arboreal species, it does well in a taller terrarium with a cork tube or slab, and deep substrate as it will often burrow. It favors a more humid environment with 70-80% humidity.
