These tarantulas are packing…horns. The Ceratogyrus darlingi (Rear-Horned Baboon) is an Old World fossorial species with a horn toward the rear of their carapace. Along with their horn, this species carries a deep rich mahogany color throughout.
This female was bred on 9-22-21. The pairing can be seen on IG HERE. The female was thought to be a bit on the smaller side, but she was very receptive. Pairing happened within seconds of introducing the male. She may eventually drop a fertile egg sac!
