Aphonopelma chalcodes 'New River' (New River Rust Rump) 0.25"

The classic Arizona Blonde, chalcodes, has a large geographical range. In the future, some of the specific locales may be considered species separate from chalcodes. New River is a mountainside area north of Phoenix. This spider found there is characterized by a significant contrast in dark femurs and orange-colored legs. The females can get large, with 5" leg span.
