
The Cyriocosmus aueri was first described in 2016 by Radan Kaderka. This is a New World fossorial species. The name is an homage to Hans-Werner Auer who is responsible for finding many newly described species located in the Amazon rainforest of Northern Peru. These guys carry a heart on their abdomen.
